Qualification for a Five Star Hotel
|
Cleanliness — Rooms, lobby, everything overall and staff. Inspectors go into the rooms and mess them up and leave and see how the room will be made up or re-arranged.
Graciousness — Of everyone: concierge, staff, etc. At five stars, you’ll most definitely hear everyone refer to you by name to give that extra feel of hospitality. And if you need something do they make sure you get it and not wait too long for it?
Timing and efficiency — Tray removal service, baggage delivery, room service, etc. For example, baggage delivery to a guest room in a five star takes about 5 minutes 45 seconds, and a four star will do it in about 8:34.
Sense of Luxury — How are the amenities like linens, general accommodations, public areas, ambiance, comfort, etc.?
